I have a broad background in immunology/biochemistry, with specific training and expertise in iNKT cells, T cell development and MHC/antigen/TCR interactions. As a postdoctoral fellow at the La Jolla institute for Allergy and Immunology with Dr. Mitchell Kronenberg, I carried out several projects related to the biology of iNKT cells (development, TCR repertoire, cytokine secretion, homeostasis). As PI with NIH-funded grants, I continued to study several aspects of iNKT cell biology. During the past few years, we have been interested in understanding how the iNKT TCR recognize lipid antigens presented by CD1d molecules and how this recognition influences the formation of the iNKT cell repertoire.
